c nowiecigemcnt .......And there is just enough time as we travel down this last mile on the turnpike of time through the i963 CONQUEROR to stop and tip our hat to eight men who helped make this a most pleasant and unique trip. First and foremost, to our photographers--club, candid, and color--our heartiest thanks. To Mr. Neal Bartley, of Student Picture Service, for the use of hh equipment and excellent processing of our individual club pictures: to Mr. Steve Peterson, of the YFC Staf, for his many hours of bravery and seclusion in produc- ing the many timely candid shotsg to Mr. Roger Atzenweiler, of Atzenweiler Studios of Kansas City and Prairie Village, for the excellent color portraits that wiH stand the test of time in quality and subject. Our gratitude for outstanding separation of our color photography goes to Mr. Jud Cooper, of Color Grafic Company, for his generous spirit and artistic ability in making film become life-like. And to Mr. Jim Wakefield, of Dependable Plate Company, for his assistance in making the color plates. Many thanks also to our friend of fourteen years, Mr. Elmer Moyer, of Interstate Bindery, for understand- ing about limited budgets in the production of the cover and binding. Without the sacrifice, heart, and selfless energy of Joe Jeffers, this book would not be possible. It is hard to express our feeling except to say Hthank ou.H Y To Mr. Ron Wilson, Editor of the YOUTH FOR CHRIST MAGAZINE, for his criticism and challenge to make this a truly daring and different annual. And now just this personal note to Miss Martha Metsker, whose tireless assistance hiplanning, promot- ing, and prying makes this the finest publication to ever come from our organization. And to each staff member, the Board of Directors, and our loyal advisor, Rev. Al Metsker, thank you. DICK HATFIELD Editor-in-Chief
