The championship team from Ruskin consisted of JeniePiemon, Virginia Jacoby Richard Taylor, Bonnie Figgins, Jennalee Smith, and Ginger wilson- 1962 Champions with a new emphasis on championship study, the quiz program came through with flying colors. In raising the standard on accepted answers, a new interest and determination became evident on the part of every quizzer. In each of the three leagues, victories became harder to achieve. Every quiz seemed to increase the effectiveness of the teams. In only one league was a team able to get through the season undefeated....and they were eliminated in the semi-finals of the city championship quizzes. The three remaining teams fought it out with Ruskin capturing the trophy. lr. High All-Stars The all-stars in the Junior High division took second place honors at the Kansas State Play-offs in Wichita. Displaying their trophy are Carla Bingham, Joan Pressler, Connie Young, Eunice Powell, Susie Robbins, David Young, and Rolly Richert.
