A violin quartet is a Very unusual organization and one in which the high standard ot musicianship of the players is maintainei. Literature of compositions For it is Very limited, but those that do exist are very beautiful and our quartet showed them to their hest advantage. Besides appearing on a large number of smaller sacred and secular programs, the quartet provided part of the pre- liminary of the Civic Choral ClulJ's lVlay Queen concert. It was the smallest organization to appear on any Nlusic Week program, and, together with the Girl's Trio and Schoolmen's Chorus, played over VV. D. A.
