As there were not enough College students to round out the orchestra a few pieces were borrowed from the High School. For this assistance the Col- lege was very grateful. The orchestra furnished the incidetal mus- ic for the plays which the Junior College Players staged. It also appeared on the Teacher's program of lVIusic Week and played for Homecoming Day. All creditafor the success of the orchestra venture goes to the director, Professor Riley. The string choir, of which the violin quartet formed the basis was one of the big hits on the Junior College and High School program of Nlusic Week. The following members composed the choir: First violin, Turney Gibson and Nlilan lVIahale, second ,vio- lin, Robert Young and Leonard Shopmaker, third violin, l-lenry Schneikart and Wilma Sappington, fourth violin, Robert Cowden, Guy Ricker and Gladys Caprong viola, Jesse Green and Helen Youmansg cello, Catherine Wellemeyer and lVlrs.
