Nlembers were destined to take an active part in the functioning of the activities of the school. Six of the football letter men were freshmen and three ofthe seven basket- ball letter men were underclassmenq lm- portant OfF1C6S in other extra-curricular activities were filled also by the frosh, scholarship recognition for the most part, being received by them. In response to the demands for an all- .school party, a committee representing the class with Norman Baughn, Eugene Hop- ton, Stephen Lee, Dorothy Gardner, and Turney Gibson as its members, made ar- rangements and successfully carried through the Frosh I-lop January 21, at Jayhawk Hall. lVlemt ers of the lola Jun- ior College basketball team' attended the party as guests of the class. On the night of Nlay 7, the next day after the Homecoming festivities, the fresh- men gave their annual banquet for the sophomores at the Grund Hotel as a final tribute to the departing graduates.
