Nlatches were played with . the best. teams that the Missouri Valley could offer. The schedule called for matches with Rockhill Tennis Club, Rockhurst College, Junior College, K. Cy. Mo., Wentworth Military Acadamy, and Kansas University. lntra-mural play ' was provided for by an elimination tournament and a ranking hoard. Before this year he S had never attempted to play basketball, but -when he came out for practice his my natural ability soon showed itself. Cy was given an opportunity to play in the Um, first game and made such a favorable impression that he played in all the follow- '61 ing games, missing only five minutes during the entire season. Long was a val- mi if uable point maker as well as a steady and untiring guard. ' 33 M Charlie Brenneis-en, forward, was the smallest man on the team.
