All students who have had one semester of French are. eligible for membership in the club, which is sponsored by lVliss Ethel Vaughan, instructor in foreign languages. , The grouphas presented each year a one-act play suitable for various pro- grams or convocations. Last year the play was entered in the contest at Baker University and won second place. This year Les Trois Souhaitsn, a comedy understandable by anyone know- ing French or not, was used by the club, With Pauline Bruce and Laverne Cole- man acting the parts of Jacqueline and Pierre. After its presentation in college convocation several clubs in the city invited Le Cercle Francais to take part in programs outside. .
