RCTI-I SCOTT ANDERSC WVOCD THE OWAISSA . The Owaissa was brought into existence in 1925 by the first graduating class. Laboring under difficulties from a lack of money and publication facili- ties, the first staff presented a book that would do credit to a group with far more advantages. ' With such a model before it, the staff ofthe 1926 annual has endeavored to issue a book that would come up to the standard set by its successor. ln keeping with the plan adopted in 1925, itgwas decided to have no adver- tising so other means were searched for in an efort to present a larger and more complete book 'vvithoutincreasing the cost to the students. ln order to accom- plish this, the staff took over the management of The Boomerangn, spring play presented by the Drama Club. , ln overcoming the handicap of a low budget, however, the staff received valuable cooperation from outside, and wishes especially to express its gratitude to Paul S. Phelps and the Central 1-ligh School printing department, Nlaurice Harmon, Nliss Lillian Bohl, lV1iss Virginia Boatman, Paul Emerson, and George Hazen.
