offewom' ln four years many changes have come to the class of 51 and to the world We the l1ttle demons who l1ve rn KHS have seen them all At the begrnnmg of our freshman year 1n a postwar perrod almost every Amerrcan was wearrly longrng for peace Now we are 1n the mrdst of a con fhct that threatens to break that dream of peace unless rt 1S controlled The lob of malntarmng and strengthenxng world frrendshrp even at the prtce of our l1ves seem to have fallen on our shoulders We demons have seen changes comrng over our class and for the most part we are proud of them We are not the bad krnd of demon you know for we act as the guardlan angels of thrs class And th1s class has grown up as normally as they could rn such a world of unrest Now they are ready to take therr place as crtxzens of towns c1t1es and country How drfferent they look now upon graduatrng from green freshres lust tackhng the four years that were to brrng so very much 1nto therr hves' How proud they are of themselves' Four years ago 1t 1snt so very far rn the past thrs class were freshman They trred everythmg at least once and attempted to cram four years exper 1ences 1nto that one flrst year Three years ago they were sophomores and very drfferent Someone once sard You can always tell a sophomore but you cant tell h1m much Of course our sophomores werent as bad as that but they were a httle cocky They were growrng up and behrnd the assured exterlor you could see progress Two yars ago they were tumors and they took lrfe easy They were no longer rmmature underclassmen but they drdnt face the soberrng prospect of graduatron as do the sen1ors And then Just a few months ago they became sen1ors on top of therr world now' If they thought they had been busy before they really learned what the word meant There was suddenly so much they wanted to do before Iune l people they wanted for fr1ends places they wanted to go new thrngs that srmply must be trred They were be1ng g1ven responslbrhty also Then there were nngs there was semor day semor banquet semor p1cn1c semor plav baccalaurate and frnally graduat1on It was a full four years for them frlled Wllh so many memor1es both sweet and b1tter But they all combrne 1nto a foundatlon for these graduates foundatron upon whrch they could burld therr 1nd1v1dual l1ves And we the demons for the class of 51 wrsh them luck and good fortune as we too say goodbye 1 1 1 - 1 1 1 1 - 1 1 1 1 - . 11 - 11 . . 1 1 . . , . . . . , - 11 1 - 11 1 - 1 - , . 1 - 1 . 1 . , . . . , . 1 1 - 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 A 1 1 1 - 1 1 , . 1
