the crucible The fall play this year was The Crucible by Arthur Miller. Although the play seemed mainly concerned with the witch trials of early Massa- chusetts, it really explored the fears and prejudices held in the souls of men. The cast portrayed their roles con- vincingly, and the audience was caught up in the action. Perhaps The Crucible was the first serious, mean- ingful production that our Drama Department has presented. It won ' t be the last. fall sports banquet The fall sports were over and, with some regret, we marked the end of another season. To honor those Kougars who did their best in sports, we held the Fall Banquet. Here, the players were given awards and honor jackets. The Kougars may not have had their best season, but they kept trying, striving for a win, learning from their mis- takes, taking pride in the fact that they are Kougars. In every respect, our boys, win or lose, are proud to be called Kougars. 19
