I ll T K 4 410085 96 00 On Aug. 26, 1980, the class of 1983 took their first steps along the path to graduation. A class meet- ing was held at the beginning of the year and class officers were elected. The results were as follows: President - Pam Bell, Vice-President - Karen Huckabone, Secretary - Wendi Jenkins. Treasurer W Sally Emer, and Historian - Annette Lemke. On Sept. 26, the class officers made a homecoming float to represent the class, but unfortunately the parade was rained out. Throughout the year many bakesales were held and candy was sold in order to build up the treasury. On Oct. 22, the first class halloween party was held. The students bobbed for apples, had a pie' eating contest fthe winner being a messy-faced John Pauli and had a cakewalk. The refreshments were donuts and cider and were enjoyed by everyone, Feb. 6 marked the publication of the Sophomore News . The paper was organized bythe officers and informed the class of upcoming events and recog- nized the athletic members of the class. The year OUR FOOTSTEPS TI-IRGUGI-I I, Ogveeb PS proved to be very productive and the class was now ready to move further along the path to graduation. SOP h0m c-Ve Nevis
