Webster also defines best as excellent . . . Remember the Best of Times at old Kane High. Remember times we had with our friends and the times of learning. It all builds up to that spe- cial time of graduation . . . Remember the Best of Times. The Best Of Times Tonight's the night we'll make history Honey you and I And I'll take any risk To tie back the hands of time And stay with you here tonight I know you feel these are the worst of times I do believe it's true When people lock their doors and hide inside Rumor has it, it's the end of Paradise But I know if the world just passed us Baby I'd know, I wouldn't have to cry The best of times are when l'm alone with you Some rain, Some shine We'll make this a world for two Our memories of yesterday Will last a lifetime We'll take the best, forget the rest And someday we'll find There are the best of times The headlines read These are the worst of times I do believe it's true I feel so helpless like a boat against the tide I wish the summer winds could bring back Paradise But I know If the world turned upside down Baby I know You'd always be around LYRICS AND MUSIC BY DENNIS DEYOUNG Ui 1981 STYGIAN SONGS QASCAPJ ALL RIGHTS ADMINISTERED BY ALMO MUSIC CORP. MM , gm W fa, A A, 1, f , q Definition of a Smile A smile costs nothing, but gives much. It en- riches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, yet the memory of it sometimes last forever. None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so poor that he can be made rich by it. A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business and is the countersign of friendship . It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad and it is natures best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be begged, bought, borrowed, or stolen, for it is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give a smile, so give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. - Author unknown 'Q ea g, 1 W fwua 'Y 4 6 MISS KA E HIGH Six girls from the Class of 1982 competed in the Miss Kane High competition. Many long hours were devoted in producing this yearbook. A theme had to be thought of, a cover to be designed, nu- merous lay-outs to be made, pictures to be taken, copy to be written, and finally, the most important of all, deadlines to be met. But all in all we must agree that the time was well spent, because in the end we are rewarded with a book which we can take with us into our future as a reminder of, The Best of Times at old Kane High.
