the child not knowing what to see came blindly to the schoolyard filled with tumbling boys and jump roping girls reached a peek but it was time to move on I the classmate bound to be something heroic and confident to be what I could be soon found out it’s better to be an individual I the student trying to find out what's not known questioning every question stepped into this tall box not knowing it doesn't stop at the top Finally reached what I never thought could be reached to find out no one ever told me There's no lid on the box. DEDICATION OF THE 1979 HURRI-KANE TO MR. LOREN WRIGHT Mr. Loren Wright was a dedicated teacher the whole year around. During the school year he worked with students of all ages, giving instrument instruction to the elementary students, directing the concert band, chorus, orchestra, and his own creation: The Chor-aliers. But his dedication and aggressiveness didn’t stop there. Mr. Wright gave up his summers and worked long hours in the hot sun with the Kane High Marching Band, preparing them for parades, fair competition, and football half-time shows. For all the dedication Mr. Wright has given to us students. the 1979 Hurri-Kane staff would like to express their deep thanks to him by dedicating this yearbook to him. 6
