FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA Kamiakin FFA Chapter has grown rapidly in these past three years to become one of the largest FFA Chapters in the Yakima to Tri-Cities area. Presently the active membership totals over one hundred members enrolled in Vocational Agriculture classes and taking part in FFA spon- sored activities. With this growth has come many State awards. At the I 979 State FFA Convention, the FFA Om- cers were awarded plaques in: Aj Community Service improvements for the Kamiakin lands- caping project, B2 and participation in March of Dimes sponsored activities. This fall the Kamia- lcin Chapter competed in the PaciHc Internation- al ,Livestock Exposition and had the 2nd high point individual contestant from over 600 FFA competitors from the states of Washington, Or- egon, Idaho, and California, Included in this years FFA plans are recreational Hshing and camping trips, many agricultural re- lated FFA competitions, trips to numerous areas and state agriculture related activities, another community service activity, and continued sup- port for the March of Dimes programs.
