Zagreb is the second largest city in the country, and it's the capital of Croatia. However, it is the most important industrial and cultural center. The University, music festivals. theaters, famous school of cartoon Hlms are just a few of the things which my town offers. l've found the United States a big and different country. People are very proud and willing to help. Sometimes, I get the feeling that they un- derestimate other countries. Kamiakin is a very big and modern school. The teachers are very good. Students tend to stick to their own group of friends. Something I don 't like is that the school rules are too strict and the hours are too long. I plan to enjoy as much as I can - meet new people make new friends, learn something new and travel On my return to my country, I plan to attend the University studying law and English. I may be able to continue my travel throughout Europe with friends. 1 ?.'2 ,QIi1'161Af ' ' I lmlff 1 . ,V ,, ,YV ML, '31.,gWsr'q 34. rf. The I 979- I 980 Kamiakin Varsity Cheerleaders had it all wrapped up into one high spirit- ed and talented group. These young ladies had their ups and downs but always found a reason to keep going on. Their continued motivation helped to inspire the spirit and pride of Kamiakin, that which alot of us at times found hard to find when key situations arose. The Cheerleaders were not only sports ori- ented: they were active and participating members within Pep Club: some worked hard each week putting the I 980 Totem in shape for you: some participated in spring sports. They were spirit , Mrs. Provinzano and I are proud to have advised such a group as the I 979-I 980 Cheerleaders, and wish those graduating continued success and umph . The Braves roared off to a fast start by going unbeaten through their Hrst Eve games and setting a great showdown bat- tle against cross-town rival, Kennewick. The high point of the season proved to be an exciting win over the Lions, which shot Kamiakin to a Number 9 ranking in the state polls. Following a loss to Rich- land, Kamiakin battled a great Wenatchee team to the wire before losing in the closing minutes. The Braves finished 6-3 after a season ending upset loss to Ike of Yakima. The ASB took advantage of the chance to have lunchtime activities and more organized meetings. We had an ASB class together each morning and had more opportunities for planning and overseeing our accomplish- ments. Some of which were: a Pee-Chee Contest, Twelve Days of Christmas, Computer Dance, a Re- written Constitution, Inter-high Exchange, a Movie Day and an excellent group of class club officers and homeroom reps! Our goal was to unite the students of Kamiakin as a whole. In turn, to boost student involvement, school pride and show of our brave spirit!
