C ung National Honor Society is an organization started in 1921 to commend students for high scholastic achieve- ment. Since the Kamiakin Chapter of NHS was started 5 years ago, it has become a very non-active club. This year's Chapter has tried to change this tradi- tion. Activities such as Word of the Week, a show- case and dance have been worked on to help the stu- dent body and to make NHS better known. Evaluating entrance requirements for NHS membership and school curriculum have been be- hind the scene activities. NHS '77 hopes that the new traditions started this year will continue with more out- standing students and activi- ties in Kamiakins future.
