COMMENCEMENT Com encement exercises for 37 high school seniors, the largest class to graduate from the Kamiah High School, were held in the high school gymnasium on the night of May 19 The gym was filled to capacity with parents, friends and relatives of the graduating senlors The processional, Carnival of Roses , was played by the high school band The Rev Lawrence Porter gave the invocation and Elton Johnson, sa1utator1an,addressed e audience with his speech, HAS You Think, You Trav 1' New Horizons for Youth , was the subject of the va e dictory address given by Lawrence Roby The musical nwmber of the evening was again pro vided by the high school band They selected to play Old Hickory' Dr Harry H Caldwell, professor of geo graphy at the University of Idaho, gave the featured address of the evening Following Dr Caldwell's speech Supt Foster presented the class R L Amsbary, who is chairuan of the board of education preserted the Qalut atorian and valedictorian with trophies, and then pre sented the diplomas to the class The benediction was said by Rev Porter and the recessional ended the pro gram The night before, Rev Rosenkilde delivered the baccalaureate senmon te the seniors in the gymnasium
