She is the president of the Chinese Club, a member of the National Honor Society, and she does volunteer work for the commue nity. Top of the heap Seventh graders Abigal Dunn and Jeffrey Yin were named to the PrincipaI's list for earning 4.0 G.P.A.s. Abigal is a new student from Maryknollg Jeffrey has been here since kindergarten. Someone to lean on Top-ranked Sophomore Trish Hara serves as a class Representative-At-Large, and belongs to the volleyball team, hula club, and KNA staff. She nose a lot Sophomore Allyson Apo, disguised here beneath a tourist visor and zinc-oxide, wears a variety of other hats: J.V. Cheerleader, accredidation team member, and alternature Hugh O'Brian Youth Ambassador.

Democracy's Voice Junior Elizabeth Akana was chosen as the first run- ner-up in Kamehameha's Voice of Democracy speech contest. She is a member of Kamehameha's Speech Society and Symphony Orchestra. Catching some z's Ranked near the top of her class, Junior Kanani Zehm is heavily involved in the honors program, partici' pates in several clubs, and models for Susan Pages' Agency. Promise and potential Waynette Lina Naipo, Lauren Forsythe, and Kaleo Blaisdell, were chosen by their teachers as three of the 1 promising members of their 8th grade class. Patriotism In Kamehameha's Voice of Democracy contest, Cheryl Koide, a Sophomore, took first place with her outstanding speech about old-fashioned American pas triotism. NN Wilhelm at the helm Junior class president Tina Wilhelm posesses standing leadership qualities. Last year Tina was sen as Kamehameha's Hugh O'Brian Youth dor. She was then chosen as one of the two representatives to the National Youth C held in Washington, D.C. Yo' Yama Sophomore Treasurer, Sheri Yamauchi, was meha's Hugh O'Brian Youth Seminar Ambassador this year.
