fwrmif orwiwmnoo As a I3 year senior Ive seen many things happen and many people come and go Ive seen the good and the bad times I can remember the mid morning snacks o juice and cookies and playing on the black top during recess. I have enjoyed every minute at Kamehameha. In fact, there wasn't a moment when I stopped to think about going to a public school. Kamehameha has done a lot for me. lt has provided me with an education that most Hawaiian kids can only dream of. lt has also given me an 'ohana away from home and provided me with caring teachers. As my time here comes to an end, l can say that l'm going to miss this campus. After all, I've been here for I3 years. I know life off the hill will be different, but I'm proud that I could be a part of this 'ohana. Class of '86 has shared a lot of 'ohana gathering during our early years. Everyone now shares that common feeling of being part of '86 'ohana, but those of us who have survived I3 years on Kapalama share a unique relationship. - Twiggy Keahi Out of the whole senior class, there are only a handful who can say they're I3-year seniors. There is a special feeling you get when you finally reach the end. You are now able to say, Yes, through all the ups and downs of growing up together, we've made it. There are so many memories that we all have . . . things we did and people we met. Remember that first day of school when you didn't want your mom to leave you? What about those naps we had to take? Everyone hurried so they could lie down at the back of the room and talk story instead of sleeping. Remember the family picnics we had? They really brought the class together like a real 'ohana. All of these experiences kept me going. Even though the years we spent . here on Kapalama has reached its maximum, that special feeling that only a I3-year senior 'ohana can share will live on. -- Lianne Hering Top right: Ann Matsuzaki relives memories at the elementary playground.
