To a senior, it brings that final day in high school- Commencement- just one day closer. He begins to realize that soon he'lI have to leave this fortress and enter the real world . As for me, I want to leave, yet, no- I want to stay. Staying means having the security of help from teachers, counselors, or friends when I need it. But, leaving would mean having the assurance that Yes, I can make it on my own! lt means being independent, self-reliant, and able to confidently make my own decisions. I guess I shouIdn't think of leaving high school as the end of an old day, but the beginning of a new, better, and exciting one. Senior feelings: I want to leave, yet I want to sta

While sen- ior adults worked hard at organiz- ing and planning for our futures, we seniors spent much of our time looking to the past and trying to recapture some of its innocence. Staff photographer Bonnie Ishii lugged a van-load of her baby brothers' Care you sure they wer- en't yours?j trikes and big wheels to school and invited three ever-willing and usually courteous fun-lovers - David Maeva, Napp Fukuda. and Roland Logan - to spend an afternoon wheeling down Smith Hill. Bonnie's conclusion: nostalgia, and David's steering skills, iust aren't what they used to be.
