.Wi K 244 a '4 A memorablef hello for a year of good-byes 'x I ' W-:Am On September' 6, I985, the seniors took part in their very last Welcome Back Assembly. That was only the beginning of the end. Little did the seniors realize that that Welcome Back would be an Aloha and Good Luck before very long. I never realized how precious two simple words like Welcome Back could be, and all the thoughts it could stir up. Speaking of stir up, l can still see Roland stirring it up to Hui Mele's sounds. l can just see his tall bony body jammin' in a reggae style and then doing his breaking imitation. not to mention his friendly invitations to the new teachers to join him on his dance floor. Things like that made our Welcome Back so much more valuable. The assembly took away my sad and fearful thoughts and left me with laughter and cheer. The Welcome Back Assembly gave us a memorable hello to start our year. hc 'Q ,A Ryan Eddie Abella Honolulu, O'ahu Gene Lulse Namlko Adams Kahului, Maul Jessica Malia T.
