All dangers defy ye, Oh sons of Hawai'i, And bravely serve your own, your fatherlandf' -The earliest published version of the Kamehameha alma mater appeared in a school manual in May, 1391. The princi- pal of the school, Reverend William B. Oleson wrote the words, and Theo Rich- ards, a staff member, adapted and ar- ranged the music which was derived from an older song called, Wake, Fresh- men, Wake.
