Tender babyvback ribs? Never fear, Doc is here. He'll tape p good, oh dear Matthew, but you'll never play the violin When you get your roll, you throw it in your locker and hit the can. Fifteen minutes later, you're getting dressed- unless, of course, you're Guy, in which case, you take a shower first and then get dressed for practice. After that, you walk into Doc's opera- ting room and he calls out in his un- mistakable, Southern Kaka'ako drawlz Hay, anny of yoo tellers need sam assistance? l'd be right happy to do yoo up goowd. There's all kind of stories about Doc - like his nick- name which is supposed to have come from the fact that he is working on or just finished with his Phd. Or how he'll fix you good if you cuss when From 2 till 4 p.m. he plays classical music, and anyone in there falls asleep. you're on the taping table: he'll stick a big swatch of white adhesive to your leg-hairs and yank it off real fast. Or how he plays his horrible classical music every afternoon from two till four, and how that music is so boring that his waiting room is lined with sleeping students. After that, if you survive the leg- hair treatment and cultural enrichment, you head on out to practice . . . three hours later, you're back and ready to hit the showers. You turn the corner, and all the showers are taken. Darn that ,swim teamg they got let out early againg they spend more time in the showers than in the pool. Oh well, that's OK. You just share one with an unsuspecting freshman, You borrow the other guy's shampoo when he's not looking, you accidently crack the next guy's soap bar in half, then you lift an extra towel from the bench in the corner.
