this year, the varsity wrestling team performed extremely well. they had a lot of potential wrestlers that did well in the i.l.h. tournament and state cham- pionships. the whole team put in all their strength and effort for a super sea- son. the junior varsity grapplers tied for Hrst with iolani and had many wrestlers placing Hrst in the i.l.h. tournament. practices consisted of stretching, drills, then breaking up into groups and wres- tling with each other. they continuous- ly wrestled and ended with condition- ing, which was sprinting, sit-ups, and push-ups. all three teams, with the help of key players edwin lindsey, jimmy fer- nandez, mike cadang, mike kuenzli, le- roy lareau, and ted mauliola, represent- ed kamehameha successfully.
