Q0 1 I ESX Yi I v X kigbx ,Nf r ,.X, Sophomore Spirit 1985 in september, the tenth graders found themselves in a position unique to any of kamehamehals previous sophomore classes. wi th the exception of lunch periods at akahi, the sophs were on their own and had the run of middle campus. the class council struggled with such problems as spirit competition apathy, the misuse of paki lounge, and the difficulty of providing positive examples of behavior to the incoming freshmen. class members responded to these challenges with increasingly successful socials, with their Hrst off-campus banquet, and with a growing sense of maturity and responsibil- ity. by years end, the sophomores proved to be a proud and worthy class. 1.
