the welcome back assembly was a good indication of the hard work and dedica- tion of the a.s.l:.s. executive board. the as- sembly was very successful in bringing the spirit of lfamehameha back to school for the great beginning of the new year. a.s.k.s. also organized many dances and assemblies. the spirit spear was awarded at different times during the year to the class which demonstrated unbeatable spirit. al- though this created competition be- tween classes, the theme, together as one 'Q could always be felt by all the classes on campus. A Celebration Uf Our Culture Z I XA he ho'olaule'a week, novem- ber eighth through the twelfth, was a very festive one with such activities as two assemblies, a lei contest, and a hawaiian food lunch. the ke aloali'i royal court presented itself at both assem- blies to students from grades seven through twelve, and to the faculty. the court also trav- elled to k.e.e.p. school, lunalilo home, and bishop museum on the day of the first assembly. at the second assembly, each class danced both kahiko and auwana presentations. also at the assembly, the spirit spear was awarded to the mighty sen- ior class. he hoblauleia week was filled with the spirit of aloha and the special pride we have for our culture. ,4m.a f 1 Af f 7 41 f . ., :..4- -3' he hoblaulea 9
