math club one of the most competit ive clubs was the math club, the members came in periods seven and eight, or after school each day studying and preparing themselves for the mini meets that were held once a month, these meets determined their entrance into the oahu math league, which is comprised of twenty-nine schools and is exclusive to only the top math students, the mini meets were timed tests of ten minutes each, from which there is a selection of six different events to choose from, in addition to this, some of their activities included a math camp from October 31 to november 2 and a fundraiser from november 25 to december 4. their goal was to take a trip to the university of California at los angeles at the end of the school year, this money will also buy trophies for the three top members. above: 1) daniel nahoopii, s uwn forsythe, leslilyn baldomero, laurie louie, cindy silva, theresa miyashiro. 2) krhtine leong, gloryanne yango, heather heaukulani (secretary), michael nahoopii, Jeanne nelson (advisor), missing from picture: maile loo, lianne loo, noelani loo, robyn yim-martin, Stephen young, early nne maile, sheryl lau, donna kalauokalani,jodi muranaka, darin mar (treasurer), margaret birk (advisor), mele todd, andrea apo, Jacqueline tyau, javlene lee (president), reynold hioicifviee-president), harry nakamoto, jack wright, kendall mann, cheryl rodenhurst. top left: mrs. racquetball club the kamehameha racquetball club ' s aim was to get stu- dents involved and help them to become better players in one of the fastest growing sports in america. the club meet- ings were held either at kekuhaupi ' o gym or at the midkiff learning center, where plans for their first annual tourna- ment, exhibitions, and other activities were made, the club truly has enjoyed a year of success!
