we will groove to the beat in the disco heat . . . to begin our school year the a.s.k.s. sponsored a welcome back dance held on the keoua basketball courts, despite the rain, the students made the best of the situation, rocking out to omori ' s vinyl disco, hanging ' out, everybody got to rock shake, rock shake, rock shake and of course the homecom- ing dance, in kekuhaupi ' o gym, displayed a variety of originality, with a halloween costume contest, everyone loosened up and felt the kamehameha ohana. hangin ' out, go to see you there ... lastly, the aloha dance ended our school year and began our awaited summer! opposite page top left: 1) darcy barrios struts his stuff. 2) d.j. madman michaels chats with boo ka ' aua. M A . ■s- this years ka na ' i aupuni staff put many long, hardworking hours into producing an informative, enjoyable, and organized annual, under the guid- ance of their advisor, lee thomas, the members of the staff were able to add some excellent ideas to our yearbook, one new and unique change was the sen- ior color pictures that gave the annual a touch of class. using the theme ha ' aheo ' o kamehameha, ' . ' the staff was able to add a little of this idea to their pages and section dividers, a feeling of success and accomplishment was felt by every staff member who st rived to make the 1980-81 annual the pride of kamehameha. 4 J
