boys ' j.v. and varsity bowling with striking accuracy, both the j.v. and varsity boys ' bowling team won their first matches of the year against mid-pac. they were ready to roll every tuesdav and thurs- day at kalihi bowl after school at 3:30. the varsity team was well balanced with three newcomers and three re- turning seniors, gordon gomes was the team captain and outstanding player with an average game score of 176. he was also the highest league scorer at the start of the year with an outstanding score of 25b in a game against St. louis. the j.v. boys were a solid team with three juniors and three sophomores, including team captain and high average scorer, glenn gomes, to show their pride and enthusiasm, ribbons were made for each member at all the games, j.v. and varsity coach miki ceberano had lots of confidence in the boys, they worked and practiced to play their very best. jhove: j.v. tejm-I) glenn gomes, robert kekjub, Justin whiting. 2) jnthony morikjwj, rj terjmoto, conrjJ lum (rrunjger), gregory chinn. right: rjnJ young goes tor j strike. 223 spnr s
