the golden years of kameha exas struck oil and kamehameha struck gold for it is the 50 years that alien a. bailey has given has been apart of kamehameha since 1928, when he was first employed to set up business educatio he has seen kamehameha grow from a small school to one of 2700 students, mr. bailey taught bus 1946 when he became vice-principal. in 1951, when he was principal, the boys ' school was so small that he actually knew every boy ' tell you a lot about his former students, including teachers and administrators-tony tamos, c cachola, howard benham, calvin chai, hartwell lee loy, willie chai, and reverand david kaup kamehameha, mr. bailey had a tremendous empathy for his students and preferred disciplinin instead of taking force, mr. bailey was given many honors, such as the certificate of apprecL association of secondary school principals, outstanding secondary educator of america for 1974, and of hawaii congress of parent and teachers, but here at kamehameha, he and his wife, margaret, arestill gi award for being the kindest, most loving, caring and understanding couple to grace the campus with t, smiles.

alice in wonderland once upon a time upon kapa- lama heights, eighteen actors, nine understudies, and thirteen technicians conglomorated to create alice in wonderland un- der the direction of mr. eric pourchot. these highly skilled students played thirteen perfor- mances for elementary schools, as well as the general public, a combination of extraordinary acting, creative costumes and scenery, fanciful lighting, and superb directing helped make the show a success. alice was played by robin stew- art and kalei keolanui, white rabbit: mark thomas, knave: ke- vin yoshimitsu, queen of hearts: ewalani bernadino, king of hearts: John kong kee, mad hat- ter: pia kamakahi, march hare: stacy naipo, dormouse: renee baldovi, gryphon: glen luecke, mock turtle: arthur wilson, cat- erpillar: curran arakaki, white queen: heather andrews, duch- ess: leeann genovia, cook: corina bailey, frog: paul pikini, Chesh- ire cat: clarice notley, and the executioner: natalie ornellas. clockwise from top: 1) corina bailey star- tles robin Stewart. 2) robin Stewart at- tends a tea party given by pia kamakahi, stacy naipo, and renee baldovi. 3) the cast attends an execution. 4) ewalani bernadino plays croquet.
