Vaspra gets some helping hands. Promising much for Ka1nehameha's future junior varsity and varsity basketball teams, the ninth grade team corn- bined their talents and added to them a generous amount of desire to win their own championship, going on to do just that. The city championship was theirs after a hard- fought final game with Punahou, which they won 52-49, after Finishing the regular season with 9 wins and 3 losses. Varsity Baseball With spirits high, both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams began the season with high hopes of bringing home the coveted championship trophies, and coaches Chai and Lile saw in their teams, with many returnees bringing experience along with de- termination to the Held, the potential necessary to become powerhouses in the league.
