Martin Hess Co-captain Varsity Basketball Despite a close mid-season loss to arch-rival Puna- hou, the highly touted Warriors, with a team height average of six feet, two inches, proved themselves to be the giants of basketball by dominating all competition. Boasting seven returnees and a Hne supplement from the junior varsity, they were every- bodys, favorite to take Kamehameha's third state championship in four years. But it was sheer team- work and desire that made the difference, enabling the Warriors to capture both the ILH and the State Basketball Championships.
