To help Kalani students be aware of the latest news, a group of dedicated students worked hard after school to put out the bi-monthly school paper, the Falcon Press. Despite their having no advisor, the volunteers on the staff managed to publish regu- larly, a newspaper filled with interesting articles and other uni- que features. page 162 . ., . ,........,, N e is .fir K ' b Now where is that darn pencil? asks Laura Cheng as she searches desf perately. Participating in math meets against other schools, members of the math team prepared themselves by staying after school three times a week. Advised by Mrs. Kashiwa, the members sharpened their math skills for monthly meets held at different schools throughout the year. The team's hard work paid off though as Kalani usually placed amongst the top 10 of all the high schools in the state.
