Edna Wong Adviser JUNIGRS When the doors of KHS opened in September, Juniors greet- ed each other all primed for a school year that promised many good things. An orientation assembly early in the year welcomed the stu- dents who were now members of the junior Class. Juniors, under the chairmanship of Timothy Choy, served the school by making Christmas mail boxes to spread holiday cheer during the yule season. March 5, 1959 will always be remembered in the hearts of all the juniors as a day of gaiety and fun. Their class colors, pink and black, were seen everywhere on the campus on this, their Class Day. A luncheon-banquet was followed by a talent show put on by various junior students. A special edition of the Bull- dog, edited by janet Ogata and assisted by members of the Jun- ior Class, was also part of this gala occasion. All juniors will remember their junior Promenade, which was held on April 18. This memorable occasion was held at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. The high-light of the Prom was the crowning of the junior Mr. and Miss, who reigned over this fes- tive occasion. These were just a few of the many things the Junior Class undertook, enjoyed, and accomplished. Mrs. Edna Wong guided and advised the Junior Class. Her tips and hints and the cooperation of all the students of the junior Class made this year a very successful one. PLANS FOR PROM-junior Council Officers. Brenda Ignacio, Leonard Gouveia, Jeanne Stewart, Robert Gore, and LaVerne Nishimura make plans for the junior Promenade. Ui' 4 W1 -is -1 atm- giim . x 1 s imma in xg it
