In the beginning of the year, the class toured the Hawaiian Farmer to gain informa- tion for a possible nautical theme. They viewed Hlms, heard speakers on annual production, and attended regular ALOHA meetings. This all added to the fun and joy of producing a book of memories for the student body. The annual Scholarship dance was the First social event of the year. During Kaimuki's Career Week, Dec. 3-5, underclassmen heard speakers from various business firms and occupations. After this whirl of activities including the Thanksgiving and Christmas assemblies, the Bulldogs deserved their Christmas recess. Returning to the campus after the Yule vacation, the Bulldogs began polishing their selections for the Speech Festival. The par- ticipants received high rating and praises from judges and were called upon to perform for various civic groups and gatherings.
