Did you notice a few added features at the football games? Mascots, more pompoms, and majorettes brought in by the School Spirit and Rally Committee helped to liven-up the games. To make high school life more enjoy- able, the Problems Committee looked into the problems sent in by the students. Com- munity-wise, the Kaimuki High School Oahu Youth Council delegates gave up much of their time to participate in worthwhile projects. The Projects Committee had to their credit the selling of the very first postcards of the KHS campus. Baking Easter cookies and mak- ing Christmas wreaths were two of the many activities in which the KHS Junior Red Cross committee participated during the year. .IPO The JPO force completed a well-rounded ear of school service and social activities. dvisor Mr. Albert Tyau, Capt. Melvin ong and Lt. David Rodrigues supervised le unit in performing their duties which tcluded patrolling the crosswalk for stu- ents going to and from school, assisting 'achers at football games by roping the HS cheering section and by checking that te rooters were properly dressed, and anding by for campus and trallic duties. The KIPO members received free ad- ission to a skating rink with the com- liments of tl1e management as a special rivilege. YVith the -IPO units of other is- nd schools, they spent a funfilled day at te yearly IPO picnic in May.
