A total of 1,947 students were registered, with the Sophomores bearing the bulks of students. The students were quickly oriented to our social life on October 3 when we held our annual Scholarship Dance. The money raised from this benefit dance enabled four deserv- ing seniors to attend college on scholarships. Career Week, held during December 3-5, gave the students valuable information about the different vocational fields they might enter after graduation. The proceeds from the Sweethearts Ball, held on February 13 in the school cafetorium went to the Band department for badly need- ed equipment. New things were appearing in our school life. A new track was laid out in the athletic field, and plans were made for the first Kai- muki High School Annual Invitation Novice Track and Field Meet to be held next year. In our social lives, it was canteens. The Student Government, with the help of the three grade levels, sponsored afternoon can- teens. These were the first ones Bulldogs ex- perienced, and they eagerly turned out for them. Kaimuki students have experienced a pro- fitable and funfilled year which has left a lasting and fond memory in all of our hearts. MEETING COME TO ORDER.
