CHARACTERS Their participation in the Territorial Hi-Y gram, and took part in church services. Conference was one of the projects for the A seed sale financed club shirts for the boys. Characters. For the final event of Kaimuki Y for the Officers' Training pro- the year, they made a trip to Kauai. An independent organization of juniors, the Chit Chatters endeavored to promote coope- ration among its members throughout the school year. Service projects were carried out every month and other social functions were also held on different occasions. The girls in- cluded among their activities a camp, picnics, dances and selling projects. Participating in the Clothing drive for the Territorial Hospital, in the Toys for Tots drive, and The Star-Bulletin and Advertiser Christmas fund were part of their activities. A teahouse party highlighted the year-end activities.

Betty Yamato, Sharon Yamaoka, Alice Yoneyama. The Junior Miss, in compliance with its purpose to create, maintain and extend throughout the home, school, and community high standard of Christian ideals, participated in many activities. Among them were, being hostesses at our school dances, decorating the patio, helping the Volunteer Service Bureau and participating in the YMCA World Serv- ice project. Many dances, picnics and hikes with boys from Roosevelt, McKinley and Punahou were enjoyed by all. During the Easter vacation the girls went camping at Camp Erdman. Ha- waiian Village was the site for their final event, a banquet.
