DEBONAIRES Girls from Kaimuki and Kalani High Schools made up the Debonaires. This Tri Hi- Y organization enjoyed many socials and pic- nics with boys from McKinley, Iolani, and Roosevelt. Janice Fujiyama, Sandra Ida, Leilani Kobayashi. 4th row: Joyce Lee, Madeline Masuda, Sharon Masuo, Elaine Okumura. Carol Sugawa, Irene Takemoto. 5th row: Frances Takata, Nina Tanabe, Carolyn Toyama, Carol Yamaguchi, Ellen Yamashita, Violet Yokotake. Men's Home, contributed toys for the Toys for Tots campaign, and helped in the Litter- bug Campaign. For their money-making pro- ject, they sold sweetbread. Sgt.-at-Armsg Louise Ishikawa. 2nd row: Ellen Izutsu, Sylvia Kamoda, Diane Kawamoto, Marjorie Lee, Amy Morikawa Eva Nakama. 3rd row: Nellie Nakama, Harriet Naruto, Lorraine Okahashi, Leatrice Omori, Sylvia Omoto, Charlene Quiamno. 4th row: Shirley Tamashiro, Judy Todoke, Charlotte Lyu, Nancy Uyehara, Elsie Uyeshiro, Carol Wozumi. An independent club, the Bobbettes, are composed of Junior girls from McKinley and Kaimuki. Participating in the Toys for Tots campaign and donating leis for Memorial Day were some of the services they contributed to the school and community. Selling seeds, pretzels and shoyu peanuts were their money making projects for the year. By having socials with clubs from Far- rington, McKinley, and Iolani, the Bobbettes were able to promote Christian Fellowship and unity among students of different schools.

Ot er projects included cleaning up at the Scholarship Dance and Senior picnic and working with the Volunteers Service Bureau. Made up of 24 juniors, Sen- iors and Sophomores, the Sabres is a Hi-Y Club. joint dances with Roosevelt, McKinley and St. Andrew's Priory constituted their so- cial portion of their activities. To finance their social activities and year- end banquet in june, the Sabres glutted the snack consumer market on the campus with Iso peanuts.
