LES CHANTELES The Les Chanteles initiated their first year of club activities and did their part in main- taining Hi-Y standards and the purpose of the Hi-Y. XVith much spirit and enthusiasm, the club members undertook many projects including trick or treating for UNICEF, making food baskets, tray favors, caroling and helping paint the YMCA social hall. PIlllI'Ollgl1 social activities such as picnics, dances and service projects with other Hi-Y clubs, many friendships were formed with boys from McKinley, Farrington, Roosevelt, and Iolani. The Chanteles concluded an enjoyable and busy year with a banquet in -Iune. Zlrd row: Faye Fuse. Velma Keipi, Louise Lung, Hazel Muramoto, jane Nishimura. 4th row: Rose Ogami, Patricia Yamaguchi, Helene Yamanaka, Cecelia You, Geraldine Young. Sponsoring a fashion show at the Biltmore Hotel and collecting money for the March of Dimes were special projects for the Las Estrellitas. The girls worked diligently to make these affairs successful. They also caroled on the Kapahulu Busi- ness Men's Association float in December and participated at pep rallies. Together with clubs from different schools, they had many social activities. Their final activity was a ban- quet and dance, held in june.

CHAN DELIERS Including girls from Kaimuki and McKin- ley, the Chandeliers collected toys for the Toys for Totl' campaign and went caroling at the Children's Hospital. A sweet bread sale enabled the girls to have their banquet at the Hawaiian Village Hotel during the Christ- mas holidays. They had a well-rounded year with dances, picnics, skating parties, and hikes. A camp- ing trip at Halekipa and a trip around the island were some of their most enjoyable events. The highlight of the year was a social event held on graduation night.
