FUTURE NIGHTINGALES To promote interest in the Field of nursing is the purpose of the Future Nightingales. To gain experience, the girls volunteered their services to our local hospitals. Made up of Sophomores, Juniors, and Sen- iors, their activities included picnics, field trips and a banquet. At their meetings they had special speakers from various hospitals. Service projects were carried out for special occasions like Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. The Nightingales contributed their services to the school by participating in the Toys for Tots campaign. Father Gerald steered their activities. They decorated the showcase in the Ad- ministration Building, participated in the Lit- d ' terbug Campaign and helped in the Polio Drive. For their special project they had a candy sale. Members included Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores. The Junior Newman Club ended the year of fun and fellowship.

A money making project enabled them to have a graduation banquet in May.
