JUNIOR BASKETBALL Despite a mediocre record, the Kaimuki yearl- ings experienced an action-packed season. The squad opened the season with an impres- sive win over a tall and scrappy Farrington team. This being their first victory over the Govs in four seasons, the Bulldogs were off and run- ning. But their victory was short-lived, for they dropped successive tilts to Kamehameha, St. Louis, and Maryknoll. Determination was characteristic of this year's JV sqluad as they came back with well-earned victories over Mid-Pacific, McKinley, and Io- lani, Dropping the next encounter against a smooth Roosevelt team, the Kaimuki babes were next pitted against a tall Punahou five, Com- ing to within two points of victory, Kaimuki bowed to the Buff and Blues in a real thriller. The season ended with a default win over Uni- versity High which gave Kaimuki a 5-5 record.
