f arf' QUEEN GAIL REIGNS AT VARSITY BALL For the first time in Kaimuki's history, the Varsity Ball was sponsored by the Athletic Department. The Ball was held at the Kaimuki Patio on May 15. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the Varsity Queen, Senior Gail Tsuda, who was sponsored by the Varsity Golf Team. Team captains escorted the Queen and Princesses at the court presentation. Intermission entertainment featured PE Practice Teacher, Danny Dalton, Al Lucas, and the Uniques. SENIOR BASKETBALL som wouc Senior Varsity Coach Bobby Wong did all he could to bring the Bulldog quintet through a success- ful season but due to inexperience, the Bulldogs were able to tally up only one win during the entire sea- son. Coach Wong, who when he is not coaching the Bulldog team, works at the Juvenile Court as a Pro- bation Officer, has high hopes for next year's season with seasoned group of returnees. Bubbly Wong Heu Coach The Kaimuki Hoopsters ended their sea- son with one win and eight losses. The Varsity cagers snapped their 6-game losing streak when they belted Iolani, 64-40. In their victory over the Red Raiders, For- TEAM STANDINGS Roosevelt 4 ward Tiloi Lolotai was high scorer for Kai- muki with 14 points with Guildord Roden- jurst and James Mau right behind him with l3 and I2 points. The Bulldogs dropped some close ones against Maryknoll, Mid-Pacific, and McKin- ley. They did not get to play in the round robin games. Seniors being lost through graduation are Gilbert Lagrimas, Allen Aloy, Guilford Rodenhurst, and Melvin Lim. Returnees are Tiloi Lolotai, James Rathburn, Robert Na- kamoto, and James Mau.
