Thereafter, the boys were no pushovers for the teams in the league. The team next year will be spearheaded by 3 returning lettermen--Hiram Oda, Gordon Mura- shige and William Kamaka. KAIMUKI 33 - PUNAHOU 41 In their initial tilt of the cage season, the Bulldogs were outscored in all but the third stanza as the Buffanblus from Punahou thrashed them soundly. Leading 8-7 at the end ofthe first period , Punahou con- trolled the backboards in the second period as they poured in 17 points to Kaimuki's 10, to lead 25-17 at the half. MARTIN KAIMUKI 31 - FARRINGTON 51 Trai ling 8-6 at the end of the ini- tial period, the Governors from Far- rington poured in 17 points to Kai- muki's 7 inthe second quarterp then coasted to an easy 20 point win over the Bulldog five. Playing against one ofthe top defensive clubs in the league , the losing Bulldogs managed toeke out only 2 digits in the third period . The win was the Govs' third straight while Kaimuki went down to its second straight loss.
