' Q117 fl , 'f A A . 5 :gb W , - V - 2 ' few' KAHOKA HIGH SCHOOL GLEE CLUB ' The Glee Club of 1922-23 has proven itself to be equally as good as tlhe organization ot 1921-22, which had quite an enviable record. The membership this year is the same as that ot last year, the organization having a membership of seventy-five. Two concerts and a musical comedy, The Gypsy Rove-r have been given this year. The organization has been able to handle much better music than in the year past. Some of their best numbers are Spirit Immortal by Verdig Gloria Twelfth Mass by Mozartg The Mill .lense11 Winter Song by Bullard, and other numbers of equal Filllk. The Glee Club has again had as its aim good ensemble work and the learning of lt desires to create an apreciation of good music among its menlbers. standard music. KAHOKA PUBLIC SCHOOL BAND The Ktlll'!1lkI1 Public School Band, which was first organized in the spring of 1921, with a membership of six instruments has grown to an organization of thirty-five pieces and is now playing good standard marehes and several overtures of llll-'llilllll grade. The band during playing season was almost in constant demand and as the warm' weather approaches will again offer concerts to the public. It had the plleasure of playing for two of Kahoka's biggest oz-easion, Old Settlers' Day and The Catholic Picnic. For these two occasions the members not only received worthy financial compensation for t.heir services but credible praise as well.
