Lights, Camera, Action Many people wonder who is behind the scene and behind the camera. These people are in Serra's Television Production Class. Serra's closed circuit system allows students and teachers to view all sorts of programs that interest them. One program, Q-News is a variety of stories which are put together in news like form which informs students and teachers about the happenings at Serra and in the Community. The Advisor, Monte Ochoa, spends much time teaching students about the fields of communications through T.V. Due to all his dedicated work, he is a well known teacher here at Serra. J am productions here at the left are known for top quality work. But it takes all the students in the class to work together and help. Q-news has a steady record of winning awards at student media Festivals which are held yearly. Serra's media productions deserves a lot of credit. The few enthusiasts who stayed with the club participated in such events as the construction of a float for Homecoming, working in the haunted museum in Balboa Park, working on crews for Oliver, and a one act play. The club was under the enthusiastic direction of President: Scott Striegelg Vice President: Rosemary Maineg Secretary: Laura Campbellg and Treasurer: Romy Kittrell. Club records were kept by historians: Doug Konarska and Earl Dimaculangan. A small facet of the Drama Club is the Thespian Society. The Thespians are a national honor society.
