The swimming season for the 1981-82 started off with a splash. The team possessed quality as well as quantity. This season proved to be a learning experience for all involved. Although wins did not appear as often as the team would have liked. They did not lost their self-esteem or enthusiasm. Coach David Szuch, with his fine coaching ability, help the men's swim team grow and learn. If it wasn't for all the excellent athletes, the swim team would not exist. .,..-an Girls Basketball Had It's Ups And Girls Basketball is one of the most underrated sports here at Serra. The Girls Varsity team received critical reviews from Coach Chris Mallory, who believed that girls basketball would prosper as a sporting event here at Serra. Some girls returning to the varsity team from last year were seniors Felicia Anthony, Paula Bendy, Carol Devereau, Susan Nor- wood, Chris Thorne, and junior Teryn Price. The Junior Varsity team was coached by Larry Watson, who helped some of the younger girls learn the fundamentals and strategies of the game.
