The Girls Tennis Team The girls tennis team played hard and finished the 1981 year with second place in the Western League. The team also did well in CIF competition. The team's leading doubles pairs were Laurene Walker and Julie Walker, and Robin Munson and Clara Dixon. Both pairs made the All-Central League First Team and Laurene Walker and Julie Walker made it all the way to League Finals. The team voted the Most Valuable Player award to Rochelle Colton. Gina Bandie received the Most Improved Player award and Sherri Sutton received the Most Dedicated Player award. These girls along with the rest of the team worked hard for a good season. The tennis team is looking forward to 1982 for newcomers and many happy returns. Wx Ong 1 :UR 3 2 Ladies Tennis

Cross Countr Team Serra's Cross Country team has always kept up a winning tradition in the past. This year was no exception. Under the guidance of Coach Bob Oli- ver, Cross Country has become one of Serra's most prestigious teams. This year's team clearly dominated their league as the boy's and girl's team ran away with the Central League title. This year's team were led by Seniors Todd Rae and Sally Moyer. Through individual effort and a lot of running this year's Cross Country team was the best.
