14 Theme lways growing, always learning Throughout the years, Serra has been through a period of growth. During this peri- od, we've learned a lot and grown as indivi- duals even more. Being a new school, Serra had to learn the, tricks of the trade , or learn to run everything smoothly. We've grown rap- idly, but at times this growth has been too great and we get caught stumbling for guid- ance. Luckily the experienced staff at Serra were there to give a helping hand. Serra has not been without it's problems but thankfully these little surprises were not ma- jor and were handled effectively by student and staff. An example of this might be how Serra's staff and students were able to effec- tively overcome the off-campus problem. Al- though at school it was the students that learned, the staff also gained much experience. One teacher leaves and another comes in to replace. Although these teachers may change they all have the same goal in mind. For you the student, the Americans of tomorrow, to grow, learn, and gain experience, are your goals.
