Senio-rs Put It All The Class of 1982 is the first to have attended Serra for a complete six years. There are no longer seventh graders at Serra, and next year the class that traveled from Pea Greeners to Super Seniors of '82 , will also be gone. The Class of '82 will be leaving behind six years worth of tradition that spirited '82'ers have helped to develop. From Newcoming to Homecom- ing '82, with victories and defeats on the playing fields of Serra, in the classroom, in student government, in school clubs and in the community - the Class of 1982 has left its mark. Activities during this senior year have been the climax of the Class of '82's tradition building. The 1981-82 school year began with our fourth successive Spirit Week victory, capped off with a first place awarded to the float entitled Stairway to Heaven. The tissue paper and ply-wood that had been painstakingly assembled to fit the Songs of the Past theme was later part of a victory bon-fire on Fiesta Island. Homecoming King and 142 Seniors Queen were Clark Claypool and Kim Rayburn. Under the leadership of A.S.B. officers - President Shirley Tuttle, Vice-President Vicki Aguilar, Secretary Robin Chan- dler, Treasurer Sandy Skolfield, and A.S.B. President Cara Conrad - the Class of '82 went on to host a series of fun- draisers. Summer car washes, howdy-grams, a roller-skate-a- thon, flower and candy sales, the Dr. Michael Dean Show and school dances helped finance activities that have become in- creasingly costly. Seniors Dues Cards raised money and spirit in the fall to meet early deposits on June activities. Other expenses included the Senior Movie that the class produced on its own, a first for Serra Seniors. The slide show's success testifies to the imagination and hard work of members of that Proud '82 Crowd.
